What is SpeedLax?
It’s 6 v. 6 lacrosse with no goalie, though there will be a “Goal Blocker”. All games will be played on a 30’ x 60’ field. The games are designed for all players to be engaged, move quickly and have fun.

Why SpeedLax?
Two main reasons; First, as coaches, we find that players learn faster and have more fun playing small-sided games, secondly, it allows for all the players on the field to be involved in the game. This combination helps players develop skills that translate well to the full field game. Creativity, quick passing, accurate shooting and team play will be the focus.

How will it work?
Players will spend the first half hour in skills and drills led by Wheaton Academy coaches. Players will then be divided by age and ability and will play a 6 v. 6 game. High school players will serve as game coaches and officials. All play will be monitored by WA coaches.
