Spring Season Recap 2017

FCA grew to six teams this spring: one Mini, one Junior, three Minors, and one Major. We began practicing indoors in mid-January and moved outdoors in March. Our season kicked off with our first games in early April. All six teams played 8 IBLA games, as well as attended the Border Wars Tournament in May.

Off the field, FCA players and families participated in three events aimed to promote service, team-bonding, and ‘family’-bonding. Our families and players served at Feed My Starving Children just before our outdoor practices began. Near the end of the Wheaton Academy lacrosse season, families and players gathered again for FCA Family Night where we ate dinner together, listened to speakers, and got to watch the WA Lax Varsity team play. And, finally, our U12 and U14 players got to participate in a scavenger hunt, which was a real hoot!

This past weekend all six teams headed to playoffs.

Mini (K-2) played at Ron Beese Park in Barrington on Sunday, June 11. They won the championship for the Mini Silver division — it was great fun for all the boys!
